  We were on our way to Oregon on vacation. Truck started loosing power. Googled auto repair shops in Yreka. Found Finwall's. Pulled up and within 10 minutes, Amber had diagnosed the problem. We could fix it just needed to pin down the problem. Amber was our traveling angel that day. Thanks so much Amber, your a Rockstar in our eyes.....Found the part, put it on and went on our way. Again Amber is awesome....

  I needed a SMOG on a Friday with little (actually NO notice). I called and talked to Janie (front desk) and told her my situation. They were booked SOLID, so she graciously referred me to another smog shop (the 1 talked to the night before- the one with the bad attitude)... Janie paused for a minute and quickly told me that IF I could get there by 10am (the 1st scheduled time), then she would see what she could do *you have no idea how awesome this was to hear*

  I arrived to at shop within 10 minutes. Janie greeted me outside and invited me in (I was early). Another customer arrived right before 10am and she asked him (by first name) IF it would be "ok" for me to basically cut in line for a smog check... The gentleman was AMAZING, he looked at me, smiled, grabbed a magazine and nodded "no problem". I can NOT believe how friendly and accommodating the staff and the locals were to me "an outta-towner".

  The smog check was done by the owner of the business "Richard", fast (~25 minutes) and went without a hitch (for the check and certificate- submitted electronically to DMV) = $59 out the door. Janie turned over the keys and I was on my way *WOW!*

  When I mentioned that yelpers rated them highly (which for an automotive repair shop is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to do)... she smiled and said that she heard that from a couple of people, but had yet to see what all the fuss was about...

  So now, you KNOW. This place is PHENOMENAL in customer service and this is a business of HONEST, hardworking group of people performing 5-star work on a daily (and it's no big deal). I WILL most definitely go back IF/WHEN I have a car issue *5 STARS*

  I was extremely pleased from the super courteous and fast service! My registration was expiring today and I called this morning to schedule smog test. I was booked for noon and everything went through fast and smoothly. Thank you so much Finwall for your great service!

  Came without an appointment at 8. Given an appointment for 10:30. Technician saw us sitting in our car, came over and took our car right away. Friendly service.

  There must be a steady stream of us, flowing back into California for that ridiculous bureaucratic nightmare we call a smog check. And, naturally, the CHECK ENGINE light came on in Oregon, which is an automatic SMOG CHECK FAIL.

  Friendly, helpful, knowledgable, patient and accommodating. Lots of locals appear to use this place, as do people who start having issues driving up and down I-5 in the heat. Saw lots of Oregon and Washington plates. Nevada, too.

  Not only did they FIX our car so we could pass smog, they did the smog check AFTER fixing (not before - so NO extended bureaucratic nightmare!) and we were on our way after stressing out for twelve hours for far less money spent - about half or maybe less of what we would have been charged in the Bay Area. Seriously.

  This is the rare place you find when you're desperate and afraid that with so little competition in such a sparsely populated area that you will get ripped off and be stranded for a week. They do exceptional work for reasonable prices and I hope they have a steady stream of customers who appreciate them. I know I do.

  The folks at Finwall's were really nice, honest, and to the point. In the car service industry that means a hell of a lot. I had to drive down here from out of state to get my car smogged, they did it pretty quick and with a smile. I made an appointment the same day. The smogging and state certification itself cost me $76.

  It was that time again, every two years. Time for my car's smog check. I called in an hour before I arrived in Yreka. I needed to make sure they were STAR certified, and they are. My car was taken in right away. I can't remember the name of the woman at the front desk but she was helpful. Richard was the man that helped me out. Such a wonderful man. My car passed it's smog check right away and Richard came out to congratulate me, even gave me a hug. If you are in Yreka and need a smog check stop by Finwall's. Thank you Richard.
